You’re invited to the Vashon Island CiderFest!
If you missed it last year, put October 9th on your calendar. CiderFest is a growing community event that promises to be loads of fun!
Activities on the Village Green are free, but you must have a ticket to attend the events at Misty Isle Farms. Space at the Cider Tasting, Barbeque Dinner and Barn Dance may be limited, so get your tickets in advance!
Also offered are raffle tickets for a one of a kind, custom made steel cider press made by Islander Bob Powell of meadowcreature.com to be raffled off on the Village Green by the Vashon Island Fruit Club.

your favorite dog, cat, goat...'other' pet in the Chick-Me-Out Pet Show
at Ciderfest. Print out an entry form here. Or pick one up at the Park
District's Ober Park offices.
Choose your pet's best category --
and don't limit yourself to just one! Get your friends/parents to help
you. Get your friends to enter their pets. There are three prizes in
each category -- Go for it!
Here are the categories:
PRESENTATION
-- How do you and your pet 'present' yourselves? Heads held high?
Sprinting around the ring? Moving in some special way to show off your
costume? What?
BEHAVIOR -- Does your pet listen to you? Does
your pet get along well with the other pets? Does your pet get along
with the audience?
GROOMING -- Is your pet's coat brushed? Nails clipped? Eyes clean?
COSTUME -- Do you and your pet stand out in your FABULOUS matching (or not) costumes?
TRICK -- Yes! We encourage stupid pet tricks, smart pet tricks and even human with pet tricks.
HAT --Handler & pet match
LOOKS MOST LIKE HANDLER -- Do we have to explain this one?
FUNNIEST -- Our judges will decide.
And -- if you have chickens -- we have a special contest for you: The Chick-Me-Out Chicken Beauty Contest-- Strictly by popular vote
